The website has been established by the Southland Rural Heritage Trust for one purpose only. It is to provide a database that presents the big picture of Southlands rural heritage, promoting communication between heritage groups and providing educational and visitor information.
Registration Form
The website will provide information under the following categories:Rural Heritage organisation · Traditional agricultural technology and practices eg vintage machinery, rare breeds, working horses · Traditional rural industry eg flax milling · Traditional rural crafts eg spinning and weaving Skills, services and facilities · Rural trades eg wheelwright, blacksmith, harness-making · Domestic crafts eg lace-making, spinning and weaving, soap-making · Oral history groups Rural heritage collections · Public and private collections including plants and animals Current projects and initiatives Heritage events and exhibitions Community funding provided the initial set-up and development costs while Flatout Design established the website for a fraction of the normal cost. Sponsorship of the 2008 hosting/licence fee by SBS has enabled us to keep registration fees to an affordable $50 per annum, payable in September each year. Your registration fee provides you with: - Development of your own webpage, containing information you provide and, if you wish, a photograph or graphic and logo
- Maintenance of your webpage for 12 months, including changes or additions to the information

- Once you fill in the online form post your Registration Fee to:
